I feel like I have done so much this week, yet nothing to show for it, but that is not true. I am trying to appreciate all the small things I enjoy in life, because what is it otherwise.

We’ve been cooking a lot. With little ingredients, just because we haven’t been able to afford a decent restock grocery trip, just what we absolutely need. Ander has been working on his omurice egg, he’s gotten good. Even when they don’t come out perfectly shaped, they’re the most delicious scrambled eggs. We’ve had a lot of rice, some spam, and avocados were on sale for a really good deal so we ate that with our meals for a couple days. I also planted green onions I got and they have been growing enough for us to have fresh green onions every couple of days!

Today I swept the porch and around my potted plants, there were a lot of built up leaves. I found a snail in some of them. I also gave some of my plants a good lil’ haircut, and one good soak before it starts to cool down and I won’t be watering them as often.

Plot Update:

I bought 5 bags of Black Kow manure and raked it onto the bed. I’m hoping it’ll give the dirt underneath some much needed nutrients. I put some cardboard over (not all of) the bed to stop weeds from growing as well as kind of cook the dirt and allow it to produce more nitrogen? carbon? I can’t remember what, but the thing that is good for the dirt.

Now I just need to decide what I’m going to plant, and maybe even start sprouts for spring.
